The Amercare Automated Dose Dispenser mimics the manual syringe dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals

In this video, Product Specialist Luke Brammer demonstrates just how easy it is to use the ADD in nuclear medicine and radiopharmacy. It helps to reduce finger dose and the risk of needlestick injury, while increasing accuracy and repeatability. Its small footprint allows it to be easily operated inside of laminar air flow cabinets, hot cells, or on a lab bench.

Suitable for high-energy PET isotopes

The ADD’s tungsten vial shield has a lead equivalence of 25 mm, making it ideal for PET radiopharmaceuticals where manual handling is skin dose intensive. Designed specifically for high-activity 511 keV isotopes such as 18F, it eliminates the strain and effort of manually handling heavy syringes and vial shields.

As an additional safety measure, the dispenser will not function until it has detected that the vial shield is in the correct position.
