Nuclear Sector Sales Executive (UK based)

The Role

We are looking for a candidate to join our team as a Junior Sales Executive. You will cover part of the Nuclear and Industrial sector where you’ll be responsible for a range of instruments. Our product portfolio is wide and it covers a broad range of applications from health physics to environmental monitoring systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Sales team. Within this role, you will be provided with the required training and support to become the best you can be.

You will be helping the team to increase the sales by visiting industrial and nuclear sites and providing solutions to different client applications. While the role is predominantly UK based, there will be an element of foreign travel required to fulfil the role.

In this position you will also work closely with other departments and the product manufacturers to develop the customer base, increasing awareness of your products and providing an excellent overall customer experience.

You will be provided with a company car, laptop, and mobile phone to assist you in your role.

Responsibilities

  • Keep current and future customers happy and satisfied with our services;
  • Provide support and product information to customers;
  • Look for new opportunities in the assigned sector;
  • Keep customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM, including brief reports of all visits;
  • Attending and presenting at trade shows both with colleagues and individually

Requirements

Essential

  • Knowledge of radiation and radiation detection systems (this could be a Physics course you completed, previous work in a relevant field or a topic you are passionate about)

QA Specialist (Henfield- UK)

The Role

Already operating a quality system, we are seeking a QA Specialist to take us forward as we continue to grow. In this position you will have support of other QA members within the LabLogic group and report to the Group Quality Director based at Sheffield. However, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Quality function at Southern Scientific. You will be an essential member of the team, embodying the organization’s quality culture, training, and coaching staff as appropriate, ensuring compliance to customer, industry, and regulatory requirements, including ISO. This role would suit you if you’re looking to progress your QA role or someone already in a managerial position. Your role will be essential in making sure that the medical devices produced at Southern Scientific conform to regulatory requirements whilst maintaining their ISO and regulatory accreditation. Additionally, the role will look to promote a continuous improvement culture within the business, assisting all departments with the creation of procedures and all associated documentation.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

Compliance

  • Ensuring that SSL complies with ISO 9001, ISO13485, MDSAP and MDR and regulatory requirements.
  • Depending on your experience, the role will include managing and maintaining the internal audit process, including conducting internal audits on all company processes.
  • Managing the Non-Conformance process for the organization.

Improvement and change management

  • Through the running of the QMS driving forward improvements to working processes
  • Implementing and managing change control

R&D Electronics Engineer (Henfield- UK)

The Role

We are seeking an R&D Electronics Engineer to take us forward as we continue to grow our R&D resource. In this position you will have support of other R&D engineers both at Southern Scientific and within the LabLogic group and report to the Engineering Director based in Henfield, West Sussex. You will be responsible for managing and developing various R&D projects at Southern Scientific. You will be an essential member of the R&D team, developing exciting new engineering projects, developing industry leading technology, and working in an agile engineering team requiring a multiskilled approach, whilst ensuring compliance to customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. This role would suit an engineer with a small amount of industry experience as well as a university graduate looking for a more challenging first role in industry. However, all applicants will be considered. You will be working in an industry leading nuclear instrumentation equipment provider, developing technologies that help the medical, industrial, power & military sectors. For example, the company has only recently finished developing a breast cancer diagnostic tool used during a sentinel node biopsy procedure where a patient is injected with a radioactive tracer isotope and using our new diagnostic tool can locate and help remove the biopsy sample.

Responsibilities

  • Review user requirements and implement/develop new electronic hardware solutions and improving on existing ones,
  • Work in partnership with product specialists to define requirements and specifications for new electronic hardware solutions and functionality,
  • Taking ownership of the design and development of new electronic hardware solutions and functionality, working with other team members to manage integration, collaborate on problem solving and provide mutual peer-review,
  • Testing, validation, and verification of all new development and improvements to ensure robust and comprehensive hardware solutions,
  • Supporting software engineers and collaborating to create a cohesive design, • Supporting QA aspects and optimizing performance,
  • Applying proper project management processes and complete documentary records for safekeeping and traceability,
