Precise X-ray and gamma ray measurements
The Tracerco PED2 is the newest model of personal electronic dosimeter, providing precise X-ray and gamma ray measurements with real-time dose and dose rate monitoring ranging from 0 µSv to 100 mSv/h. It responds promptly to small changes in radiation whilst also making accurate, reliable readings in hot zones up to 1 Sv/h.
Resistant to drop, shock and vibration
Despite its sensitivity, the PED2 is a robust instrument intended for extensive use. Its polymer casing is resistant to drop, shock, and vibration. It is compact, weighing just 200 g meaning it can be comfortably worn. It can also operate in extreme temperatures between -20 °C to 50 °C and is protected against dust and water ingress with an IP67 Rating.
Visually displayed information
The PED2 has been designed for people who have not been specifically trained in radiation detection and measurement. Its large screen is easy to read and understand, using a transflective display for clear visibility in all lighting conditions, both inside and out. It uses green, amber, red, and crimson color bars to visually display dose rates and accumulated doses.
Configurable alarms
Four configurable dose and dose rate alarm settings trigger audible, visual, textual, and haptic alerts. These will immediately notify the user to changes in exposure and dose rate despite obstructions to sight, sound, and touch caused by PPE being worn. On-screen alerts can also be customized by the user.
