Chemical analysis at a distance
The Vector Proximal Standoff accessory expands the capabilities of the Icon-X 1064 nm Raman analyzer by enabling chemical analysis from a distance. Designed for uncertain and potentially volatile situations, it allows EOD teams and emergency services to identify explosives, chemical agents, narcotics and other unknown substances without direct interaction, helping to reduce exposure.
The Vector slides the Icon-X into a cradle, transforming it into a powerful standoff sensor that can be mounted on a tripod or UGV for remote, stable Raman scans. Together, it can analyze powders, liquids, pastes and solids at a distance of up to 3 metres in environments too dangerous or sensitive for direct contact.
