Universal radiation protection

The new 62AD succeeds the trusted 6150AD dose rate meter, continuing the Automess legacy for of precision, reliability, and durability. This newest generation has two versions to meet different application requirements:

  • 62AD25 with standard range: 1 μSv/h to 25 mSv/h
  • 62AD50 with extended range: 1 μSv/h to 50 mSv/h

Only the 50 mSv/h variant holds a PTB type examination certificate (No. DE-25-M-PTB-0032), making it approved for official calibration and conformity assessments.

With a familiar two-button layout, intuitive menu navigation, and a new light sensor for automatic LED backlight control, the 62AD offers improved usability in any lighting condition. The device's housing is now milled from solid aluminium making it light but durable, and the housing's color can be customized by users when ordering.

Features

  • Two measuring ranges:
    • 1 μSv/h to 25 mSv/h
    • 1 μSv/h to 50 mSv/h (PTB-certified version)
  • Automatic range switching with sliding time constant for accurate, responsive measurements
  • High-precision digital calibration ensures consistent and reliable dose rate readings
  • Simultaneous readout of:
    • Instantaneous dose rate
    • Average dose rate
    • Maximum dose rate
    • Cumulative dose (non-volatile memory)
  • Approx. 3,000 hours of operation with a standard 9V alkaline battery
  • Solid aluminum housing – waterproof, robust, and available in customizable colors
  • Automatic LED backlight controlled via integrated light sensor for optimal visibility
  • RS232 serial interface for PC connectivity and data transfer
