Unlike conventional radiation detectors, the PXRD pulsed X-ray dosemeter is intended specifically for security and testing applications where pulsed X-rays are used. It can accurately detect and measure pulsed X-rays generated by portable X-ray systems including Golden Engineering's XR150, XR200 and XRS3.
Built to be used out in the field, the PXRD is lightweight, durable and finished in a chemically resistant keypad for effective decontamination. It can be carried by hand or mounted on a tripod to allow remote monitoring and features a customizable accumulated dose alarm with audible, visual and haptic alerts to warn the user when thresholds are crossed.
