Southern Scientific wins Heathrow’s World of Opportunity grant

R&D Manager Perry Hutchinson was the recipient of the award for the South East of England
Southern Scientific has been announced as one of twelve regional winners of Heathrow’s World of Opportunity programme, which supports Small and Medium Enterprises across the UK.
R&D Manager Perry Hutchinson received the award representing the South East of England. The grant will support Southern Scientific in developing its export strategy and expanding its international presence. In recent years, the company has accelerated its new product development under the supervision of Perry, recognised by this award.

The World of Opportunity programme is delivered in partnership with the Federation of Small Businesses and the Department for Business and Trade, aiming to boost regional growth and global trade opportunities.
The grant was presented in person by Heathrow's Director of Engineering & Baggage Gavin Payne and External Affairs & Campaigns Manager Adam Gibbor, who visited Southern Scientific’s office and given a tour of the business by Operations Manager David Yule.
In addition to the grant, Southern Scientific will also receive 1 year’s membership of the Federation of Small Businesses and attend an export workshop hosted by the Department for Business and Trade. Perry will also be able to access mentoring sessions with Heathrow’s senior leadership.
