19th August 2025

At a glance

> Introducing a new dose meter for gamma and X-ray radiation.

> The 62AD Series has a wider dose rate range than older meters with an upper limit of 50 mSv/h, five times greater than the previous model.

> It can simultaneously provide instantaneous, average, and maximum values, as well as cumulative doses.

Measure and monitor radiation in real-time

The 62AD is the latest innovation from Automess for measuring radiation dose from high-energy photons. With a wider range and an increased upper dose limit than older models, it allows radiation protection professionals, health physicists and other workers in the nuclear industry to measure and monitor radiation levels in real-time across a broad spectrum of dose rates.

The new 62AD is available in two models:

  • 62AD25 – standard range: 1 μSv/h to 25 mSv/h
  • 62AD50 – extended range: 1 μSv/h to 50 mSv/h

Simultaneous readings of values and doses

The 62AD automatically selects the most appropriate dose rate range helping to avoid operator error and misleading “off the scale” results. Integrated speakers deliver variable audio tones for operational feedback, alongside a powerful alarm for safety alerts. It can simultaneously provide:

  • Instantaneous value
  • Average value
  • Maximum value
  • Cumulative dose

Built for field work

The 62AD is housed in a robust, aluminium casing with an IP67 rating, allowing for easy decontamination. At just 350 g, it is thinner and lighter than previous models and has a battery life of 3000 hours. This makes it an ideal field instrument suitable for all environments.
