Project and Tender Coordinator (UK based)

The Role

Due to the continued growth of our group of companies we are looking to employ a Project and Tender Coordinator who will support the bid process primarily with Southern Scientific but also assisting projects across our group of companies being involved in sourcing, applying for, submitting, implementing and managing tenders and the resulting contract projects.

This is an exciting new role within the company where you will act as a key point of contact, managing the project and coordinating the flow of information between numerous parties to deliver completed written proposal responses against agreed deadlines.


Project management

  • You will manage all aspects of the bid process coordinating with internal departments and collating their input to create client specific bid submissions which are coherent, compelling and well-structured
  • Guide, advise and update colleagues on best processes and practices
  • Review the evaluation criteria for each tender submission and ensure requirements are fulfilled
  • Carrying out final document reviews
  • Keeping stakeholders updated on progress and ensuring the timely submission of tenders and other proposals


  • Drafting tender documentation
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content to fit with specific questions and bespoke to individual client requirements.
  • As part of your role, you will develop high-quality re-usable content and responses

Ensure compliance

  • Providing advice and guidance on tendering procedures and compliance
  • Ensuring adherence to statutory requirements
  • Review legal and commercial content of the tender documents and advise accordingly

  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Project Management, Business Development, Marketing)
  • Experience of reading, understanding and being able to interpret technical text/content
  • Project Management qualification or previous experience working on multiple projects and delivering within agreed timeframes using project management tools, techniques and programmes
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Excellent writing, editing, and English skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel as required


  • Experience of reading, understanding and being able to interpret technical text/content
  • UK security clearance
  • Experience in the nuclear sector/government contracting
  • Experience with NEC3/4 contracting
  • International supplier management/liason experience
  • Legal experience (training)
