The OTM-HX is an Open tray monitor designed for the detection and measurement of gamma radiation on potentially exposed tools and objects.

There are two models depending on whether the equipment is open on both sides (v.1) or only on the front (v.2).

It includes six 45 x 45 x 5 cm plastic scintillator detectors with PMT and six HV sources. This guarantees that the detectors perform in their optimum operating conditions, providing an excellent signal output.

Usability

A user-friendly display guides the user through all the equipment configurations. The OTM doesn't require an external PC to manage the configurable features, making the instrument easy to set up and eventually move around.

All the recorded data is stored and managed by the system and a USB port allows the user to download the data and analyze it. The software is 100% configurable according to the user’s requirements.

Shielding

The equipment is shielded with a 20 mm lead sheet to minimize the background contribution.

In the case of high background environments, the lead shielding can be incremented and customized.

In order to make more comfortable the operation an aluminium structure, with or without wheels, can be included.

The required power supply is 220 VAC / 50 Hz. The total weight, including 20 mm of lead shielding, is approximately 400 kg. The external dimensions are 110 x 80 x 70 cm (H x D x W) approx.
