The HS-BEXA is a Hand Foot and Clothes monitor detection and measurement of Alpha + Beta radiation. The HS - BEXA has been designed with the highest quality standards in mind.

It has 4 large-area alpha+beta plastic scintillation detectors. 1 for the left hand, 1 for the right hand, 1 for the left foot and 1 for the foot right. The right-hand detector can be converted into a "frisker" for clothes screening. Each detector can be configured individually with different alarm levels and they can also be grouped to work in groups.

The HS-BEXA is equipped with sensors detecting when a person is correctly positioned, interrupting the current background reading and automatically initiating the measurement.

General operation

HS-BEXA features an 8 "TFT colour touch screen that shows where the real-time measurements, thresholds and alarms are shown. the system also displays alpha and beta counts separately along with the overall gross count.

The measurement steps can be customised, the user can set palms only measurements or palms and backs measurements, setting a delay in the measurement to allow the user to turn his hands on the system.

 

Detectors

The BHS-BEXA uses plastic scintillators coated with ZnS for an alpha, beta and gamma detection. Each detector is connected to its own HV source and electronics in order to separate its performance from the other detectors. This allows disconnecting a detector if a malfunctioning is detected, keeping the HS-BEXA still functional while a repair is carried out.

Voice notifications

A voice synthesizer module is incorporated to allow the user to clearly understand the measurements steps and any warning message even without a clear view of the display.

The user can customize a voice message for each stage of the measurement. the messages can be repeated and amended at any time.
