GammaTRACER Autonomous Radiation Area Monitor

With the autonomous radiation monitoring probe GammaTRACER the gamma radiation dose is continually registered in the chosen time sequence.

Available types – BASIC, WIDE, HIGH and XL differ mainly for the counter tubes. They cover a broad range of applications, are lightweight and therefore ideally suited for both, mobile and stationary tasks.

GammaTRACER XL incorporates a high-volume GM-tube, which qualifies it for applications requiring high sensitivity.

Energy-saving chip technology allow maintenance-free non-stop operation of the GammaTRACER probe of typically five years, with extended battery pack up to ten years!

Hermetically closed, it is designed to endure the harshest environments.

Equipped with a radio module, the probes can be used with SkyLINK and ShortLINK systems to offer a new dimension in wireless data collection.

NEW: XL2 probe version:

  • 1 sec measurement cycle/alert response.
  • Up to 3 high sensitivity GM tubes.
  • 9 decades measuring range.
  • Input for a further sensor.
  • GSM/GPS/GPRS/SMS integrated, with up to 10 years battery life.

Marine Nationale, France

2SNM Environmental Radiation Monitoring System

Bertin Instruments has developed an ERMS for the French navy, Marine Nationale, called 2SNM. As a nuclear operator, the Marine Nationale has a responsibility to the safety and security of its service personnel, as well as to the civil populations and environments where ships with nuclear reactors and weapons are berthed, decommissioned, or operated.

2SNM has been deployed at all French naval bases, including Brest, Toulon, Cherbourg, and L’ile-Longue to monitor nuclear activities, prevent incidents, and provide quick and appropriate responses. Designed to measure levels of radioactivity, gamma radiation, and alpha/beta activities, the ERMS uses several types of equipment including the GammaTRACER linked to a single central system.

Krško Nuclear Power Plant, Slovenia

A rapid response system for emergency situations at nuclear facilities

This portable environmental monitoring system was developed specifically for Krško NPP who originally used eight GammaTRACER XL2 probes. Based on the success of these, the site expanded the monitoring system with eight additional probes (spectroscopic or dose rate only) and an active air monitoring system.
