identiFINDER

FLIR

The identiFINDER is the world's leading spectrometer, dose rate meter & nuclide finder for portable radiation detection & identification applications

Family of hand held, digital gamma spectrometers with Neutron, Underwater, Telescopic, Ultra & Lanthanum Bromide versions available. These instruments allow the user to locate a radioactive or nuclear source and, once found, identify the isotope(s) in an easy to use, four key system.

The identiFINDER combines high sensitivity with a wide dose rate range, performing gamma spectrometry & nuclide identification with performance that meets or exceeds ANSI N42.34 for radiation detection.

Features

  • Allows the user to distinguish between man-made and natural isotopes.
  • Complete digital gamma spectroscopy & dose rate system
  • Integrates multi-channel analyser, amplifier, high voltage power supply & memory with an integral scintillation detector.
  • Suited for remote applications, advanced warning systems, hazardous environments & nuclear inventory monitoring.
  • Can be used with the standard detector 1.2" x 1.5" NaI(TI), or the optional available CZT detector.
  • Built in 137Cs reference source (<500Bq/15 nCi) is used for inline stabilisation and in-situ calibration without user interaction.
  • Operational temperatures between 15°c and 55°c.
  • Conntect to a computer via RS232
  • When connected to a PC the unit provides qualitative & quantitative in-situ analysis with optional winTMCA-pro software.
  • Up to 50 spectra of 1024 channels can be stored in the unit and directly transferred to any PC for further/advanced analysis.
  • Standard winTMCA software included.

Applications

  • Transport monitoring
  • Emergency monitoring
  • Waste monitoring
  • Contamination monitoring
  • Environment control
  • Leak identification
  • Scrap metal analysis

The identiFINDER-U version is watertight for use underwater to a depth of up to 10 meters.
