Company History
Founded in 1983, the company continues to supply the nuclear industry, hospitals and research establishments with a wide range of medical and scientific equipment.
Premises
The company has recently moved from Sompting to new premises in Henfield, West Sussex. This 4900 ft2 space has a more convenient layout and is ideal for expanding our research, development and manufacturing capabilities, allowing for present and future expansion.
Staff
There are currently 27 employees with appropriate use made of contract services.
The company employs a direct sales force of 8 persons, who have specialist skills in their particular market segment. The engineering staff includes four design engineers providing appropriate detector, electronic, software and system integration designs, with full in-house CAD drawing and documentation services, ensuring full compliance with EU regulations.

Southern Scientific Ltd. designs and supplies from within its own in house resource, a range of Area Gamma Monitors, portable units and probes, as well as other customised systems for Radiation Monitoring.
